The racing season finally continued after weather canceled the Aug 15 event and delayed the fourth pylon racing event until Oct 3rd. The weather was fantastic with an Easterly breeze that persisted all day keeping the temps down and making the course a bit challenging – lots of cuts. Big props to our first time CD for the event, Stephen Adams! – THANK YOU!
There were a total of 7 racers competing in 5 different classes over 10 heats of racing! Racing started about 10:15am with the Uproars up first.
Uproar Sport: Paul Geders was 1st, Ralph Doyle was 2nd and Ralph Grant entered, but struggled with keeping his entry fired, eventually being scored DNS.
Unlimited Warbird: Paul Geders 1st, Steve Romanczuk 2nd
Four-Star Sport: Paul Geders and Dan Morrison tied for 1st, Ralph Doyle was 3rd
Stock Warbird: Paul Geders 1st, Rich Taylor 2nd, Ralph Doyle 3rd and Ron Walkup and Ralph Grant tied for 4th
Sport EDF Jets: Paul Geders 1st, Ron Walkup 2nd, Steve Romanczuk 3rd and Dan Morrison 4th
We finished with two full rounds and called it a day.
