The racing season has started with our first event held on May 30th. The race was originally scheduled for May 16th but was moved due to weather and the CAP cadet event held the following weekend. The racing went well and we had our first event with the 50mm EDF class. There were a total of 10 racers competing in five different classes. 4-Star Forty, Uproar, Stock War Bird, Unlimited War Bird, and 50mm EDF.
4-Star Forty: Paul Geders 1st, Ralph Doyle, 2nd, Greg Tesson, 3rd
Uproar: Paul Geders, 1st, Ralph Doyle, 2nd
Stock Warbird: Ralph Doyle 1st, Ron Walkup, 2nd, Paul Geders 3rd
Unlimited Warbird: Steve Collins 1st, Steve Romanczuk 2nd, Paul Geders 3rd
50mm EDF: Bart Asher 1st, Paul Geders 2nd, Steve Siebert and Ron Walkup tied for 3rd
The weather held out for two full rounds, and Steve Collins and Al Fernandez exhibited a 70mm EDF race.
