Club has a new Grill

The Spirits have a new Flat-Top Grill.  It’s 36″ and should easily handle almost 30 burgers.  I see a breakfast fly in our future!

Best practices for use are:

  • Turn the propane on to use and off when you are finished.
  • Please keep the cover on it when not in use and replace when it’s cool enough.
  • Never light or close the grill with the lid closed.
  • Heat the surface on low before you crank it up to help keep from warping the surface.  There is almost nothing to be cooked at max on all burners.
  • Scrape the grill with the flat scraper while you cook to make cleanup easy.  Especially if sauces with high sugar like BBQ sauce etc are used.
  • To clean, squirt water on the surface letting the steam remove debris, scrape it to the debris hole in the upper left corner of the grill.
  • When finished cooking, re-season the top with the vegetable oil in the bottle and spread with scraper or paper towel.  Be careful, it’s hot!
  • You can use the vegetable oil to cook with but higher smoke point oils like Avacado Oil or Butter.  Please don’t use Nut Oils like Peanut as some people are allergic!
  • Move most plastic things off the bottom shelf or they could melt.
  • Clean the tools with soap and water when finished.

If you want a quick training session on using it, ask Ralph Grant for help and he will cook a cheeseburger together!
