Spirits RC Flying Club Meeting at Steve Pokorny’s, meeting called to order @ 7:20pm
An abbreviated Float Fly-In was held between the raindrops and thunderstorms before the meeting…meeting was delayed slightly for this reason. Brian Aubuchon and Dan Morrison were flying, Steve Pokorny and others were boating…good times, just too short. So we will have a second 3rd Annual Float Fly on August 7th at 5pm,
Show and Tell
Stephen Adams brought his very impressively sized UMS 5-210 five cylinder gas engine that is destined for his 1/3 Barth Waco. It will be turning a 32×10 Xoar propeller. You may have seen the Waco work in progress at the Biplanes over Bonhomme Island event or been reading the series of build articles

We grinded…and it worked! Positive reports from the flyers of small wheeled aircraft.
Runway now needs stripes repainted, Field Maintenance Job Jar is showing success!
Safety Report – Sid Kinzel
No safety issues to report…yay! Other than Stephen’s sefl-induced shop experience with a utility knife. His fingertip are healing nicely.

Round 3 Jul 19, Round 4 Aug 16, Round 5 <Sep 20>…still looking for CD, final Round Oct 14. Rain dates should be following Saturday unless something else is already on calendar at field, then canceled.

President’s Message
Meeting decorum or just go informal? Overwhelmingly, a formal meeting is desired by membership.
– Please come to our meetings, but while meeting is in order, please refrain from cross talk and side bar discussions. Our meetings only have about 30 minutes of actual substance generally, its the out of order discussions that bog them down and distract. Everyone gets more out of the meetings when only one person is talking, many cannot hear well with even modest background chatter… So raise your hand and then stay on topic, please!
