Treasury Report – Wayne Nenninger

            Updated 5yr Field Lease signed, same terms as previous, no increase. The current owners have no intention of selling.

We have 107 members

Field Committee Report – Paul Geders, Terry Houts and Greg Tesson.

            Review of Ralph Grant’s engineer report on runway issue…in short, it’s not fixable. It was decided that a small team will grind and taper the sharp edges of runway patches to reduce the transitions over them, but this is likely the extent of what will be done without a major replacement.

            Dave and Terry took out the last bench in pits, it was rotting and a hazard. General maintenance like repairing pit tables, benches, etc is ongoing and members that are able should feel free to jump in and help where they can, when they can.

No known safety incidents to report.

            2025 Pylon Champions Series – Round 2 Jun 14… Jul 19, Aug 16, <Sep 20> final Oct 14

               – rain dates should be following Sun, then Sat unless something else is already on calendar at field

            Mac Baker and Mike Graves – The Whirly Birds Classic May 15-18 went well in spite of precocious weather. They plan to do this again in 2026.

               Watch for postings soon on this event and it is expected to have a wide turnout.

President’s Message

            A word of caution regarding negative social media posting about the Club…this is unhelpful for wider Club goals.

            We need Instructor Pilots – we have many new fliers that have approached us, more are expected, and we need a group of competent pilots that would be able to donate some time to mentor new pilots. Its very rewarding, so if you have any interest, contact Dan Morrison or Greg Tesson and they’ll get you set up…we’ll even train on the buddy box!

            We have several trainer aircraft that have been donated to the club. They are being offered for sale as a donation to the club’s general fund and are a manifestation of the work of Funding Committee.

The meeting was adjourned after a short experiment with everyone lining up on a patch on the runway and jumping…to no apparent effect. Off to Serra’s!

The Club exists to have a field to fly our airplanes at enjoy fellowship with the like-minded. Everything we do must serve this end. To keep our club healthy for ourselves and attractive to new membership, we should do more plane flying, continuous exercising of common sense, less fussing about the small things and being kind to others. Compromises, safe practices and reliance on collective common sense will generally promote the greater good. Be safe, engaging, have fun and help where you are able.

Safety is the responsibility of EVERY member and guest!

All club members shall have the authority to enforce the rules herein. In most cases, simply drawing attention to the issue will remedy a situation. In cases of gross, deliberate violations of specific safety rules, a grievance, per the club grievance procedure noted in the club by-laws, can be filed.
