Waco YMF-5 part 6

It’s been hectic on this build project. The landing gear mount made no sense and looked like it would tear out on the first hard landing. (I specialize in those kind of landings!) To make matters worse; once the gear is attached I would be unable to remove it without tearing into the plane. With Wayne’s input we crafted a means to mount the gear which is removable and built more solid.

Created a double former with hardwood block in between. The stringers shown in the pictures appear to block access to the gear but are temporary; for alignment only. There will be removable skin panels to provide access. This part of the full-scale fuselage is metal so my Waco retains the right look.
