Safety Report

Sid reports nothing happening at field.

Dan Morrison has been drafting a more current set of Safety Rules, more plainly written, shorter and are intended to be posted in place of outdated Frequency Board at the field. Dan can have a car wrap made that can be applied to a painted steel sign 48x48in with the ultimately accepted design. Looking for input for the entrance and corner sign at Amrein and Greens Bottom Rd. Wayne will try to gain approval of the Ostmanns to allow club to post sign on their property at SW corner.

Dave Brown and Terry Houts were recognized for their abundant efforts to help maintain the club while we searched for a suitable grounds maintenance plan. Dave will stay on and continue to cut the grass at the field through 2027. We really appreciate their continued service.

Field Report by new Field Committee Chairman

Paul Geders was recently installed as Field Committee Chairman. He will be joined on the Field Committee by Terry Houts and Greg Tesson. The Committee will work with Stephen Adams to get an updateable Field Task List link on the website so members can check to see if they can knock out some of them on an upcoming trip to field.

Paul will be studying options for equipment needs and working to build rotating mowing crews that can ultimately be implemented in 2028 season. If can maintain about 160 members, we have standing bids that can be contracted for professional mowing services.

Membership Report

Ralph Doyle passed out 2025 membership cards to those that had already renewed. We are at 51 members paid for 2025.

Treasury Report

Wayne Nenninger reviewed the Treasury Report and it was accepted.

Old Business

*Saint Charles Saints RC has their last meeting in October. Their field lease at Zumbehl / Elm Point will expire Jan 1st.  Our field and meetings remain open to all their membership to come out and get acquainted.

This open guest policy will sunset Jan 1 and the club governance regarding Guests will be back in place.

NJ Drones? An example of need to comply with our FAA Airspace Authorization.

sUAV’s and FPV drones are authorized and have great potential for growth.

Current recreational drone pilots are currently left with ‘bootlegging it’, often in inappropriate areas, or are having to deal with the same onerous filing of flight plans and remote ID that we avoid by having the AA and FRIA at our field. We welcome them and we should help them be aware of the Safety Rules as they become acquainted with our club.

New Business

Steve Pokorny asked if someone could help his longtime friend with building the fuselage of a Hobby Lobby Senior Telemaster. He had already built the wings and tail, but needed someone to help assemble the fuselage. Paul Geders volunteered for the task. This is a great service offer that will be appreciated!

Christmas gift exchange took place between what looked like over a dozen participants.
