Lost and Found Aircraft

The Ostmann’s Field is the Burmuda Triangle:

Last week, Dave Brown retrieved two aircraft in the muddy Farmer’s Field, north of the runway.  The first aircraft, a P-51 owned by David Lynch was recovered by Dave’s patented “Spoon” aircraft fishing lure.  Easy, Peasy!

The second, was a ducted fan jet owned by Michael Grau.  This retrieval proved to be extremely difficult, since Dave had to create and test his advanced and patented “Mud Skis”.  Dave stated they worked great, like cross-country skis, but failed a measly twenty feet from the downed planed.  The object was then reached on foot; the skis being left in the mud for the farmer to ponder “what the Hell” when he plows the field.

Both aircraft were returned to their pilots for proper burial.  They both expressed their extreme thanks to Dave for his ingenuity and “can do” effort.

So it probably goes without saying that we should easily be able to identify the lost craft by the identification on it as required by the AMA and the Spirits Safety Rules. 😉
