Spirits' membership dues are for one year, January 1st to December 31st.  The cost of annual dues and any additional membership fees are listed on the Spirits' Membership Application Form.

A current member shall not be considered active and have no flying or voting rights if his or her dues have not been paid for the following year by December 31.  There is NO grace period when renewing!  Not renewing your membership by Dec 31 results in your complete loss of flying and voting privileges with the Spirits in the coming year, until you have renewed.  Additionally, if you have not renewed by the end of the March meeting you are subject to any “In Arrears Fee” listed on the membership application.

To join the Spirits, or to renew your membership, you can open the Spirits Membership Application Form (Auto-Fill) by clicking on the link at the top of the page , then do a "save as" to your desktop, open it from the desktop, and then type in the necessary information, then print and sign the form. You will need a copy of Adobe Acrobat Reader (Click on "Get Acrobat Reader" in lower left corner of this page if you don't have it.).  Or, you can click on the Spirits Membership Application Form (Fill in by hand), print it out, and write in the information.  Be sure to follow the instructions on the form and send it along with a photocopy of your AMA card/s to the Spirits Membership Chairperson.

What the Spirits offer!

Membership at Spirits allows you access to your own semi-private park and flying field.  The Spirits’ field is ~12 acres surrounded by farm fields.  Our amenities include a 600’ asphalt runway, paved taxiways and pit areas, a 24’ x 36’ pavilion with ceiling fans, run-up tables, picnic tables, seating benches and chairs, helipad, control-line circle, electricity along the pit area, gravel parking lot and a restroom.  The grass is commercially mowed to a height suitable for most planes.  From micro to GIANT scale; airplane, helicopter, control line or sailplane, electric, nitro or gas, we feel the Spirits of St. Louis R/C Flying Club is the Best Flying Site in the area.

The Spirits flying field is located at 73 Amrein Road, St. Charles, MO 63303 Lat. 38.702006, Long. -90.577898

The Spirits also offers FREE flight instruction to all current members.  Our staff of volunteer Flight Instructors will help you get in the air faster and safer than trying to do it on your own.  Whether you are a newcomer or a bit rusty, let us help you take off, and enjoy the hobby.  The Spirits do not provide aircraft or equipment for continuing flight instruction.  You must have your own, or permission to use another's aircraft and equipment prior to receiving continuing flight instruction.

Flight instructors are not responsible for any damage to your aircraft or equipment.  Our flight instructors are here to assist you in your enjoyment of the hobby, minimize the risk to your equipment, and help you learn to fly safely and responsibly.
